Hi everyone, my name is Shayari Bhattacharya and I am here to teach Kathak. Having learnt it for 13 years and a further experience of 6 months of choreographing, I am ready to teach.

-Choreographed small performances in 2010 to 2013 as a hobby

Hi everyone, I have many hobbies, but dancing is not just a hobby for me. It is something I do when I am sad, when I am happy, when I am angry, or when I have free time. Dancing completes me. I have learned classical Indian dance in India for 13 years (Kalashram under Pt. Birju Maharaj), then 3 years of western (Hip-hop, and contemporary in Ukraine), and currently with a performing group (Classical and Bollywood) since August 2022 in Germany. I have performed in numerous performances since the age of 3 in school, dance competitions, and performances. I was also a part of the prestigious CWG 2010 held in Delhi, India. What I felt enthusiastic about was teaching girls and boys of age 10 to 12 years old for about 6–8 months in India. I have done several choreographies in 2010 - 2012.

I enjoy every bit of dancing and I want to spread that enjoyment and happiness. I intend to do that by making the classes fun and letting them give in their input. Classical dance can get quite technical at times but I want to include a small portion of love and fun to it.
